The Veneer Process
The process typically spans two to three appointments over two to three weeks.

- Preparation: a thin layer of enamel is removed from the front of each tooth to accommodate the veneer
- Impressions are taken and sent to the dental laboratory
- Temporary veneers are placed while your custom veneers are fabricated
- Final placement: veneers are bonded permanently to the teeth and adjusted for fit and bite
Are You a Candidate for Veneers?
Ideal candidates for veneers have healthy teeth and gums, sufficient enamel for bonding, and realistic expectations about what veneers can achieve. Veneers are not recommended for patients who grind or clench their teeth heavily without first addressing the bruxism, or for teeth that are severely structurally compromised (a crown may be more appropriate in those cases).
